finally! a rug that fits well. Has a decent neck, good quality fastening with double velcro at the neck and trigger clips at the front. Really strong outer material and 400g fill. Generous tail flap and looks gorgeous too:D

I really like Shires rugs too. I have 2 coblets who are both pretty wide. My 14.2 takes 6ft 6 rugs. Have found the only 2 makes that really fit them properly are Shires and Masta. Gorgeous colour too!

I also love Shires turnout rugs, its the only make I've found that actually fits my big mare properly, tried loads before Shires.
They have lasted well and look good after a few years wear too.
And also very good value.

my lad is quite fine , mainly TB with not much depth of neck - so it shows they fit all types too! you can see in my sig how premiere equine leaves a big gap at his neck.

I have a Masta Rugs for my boy and they seem to fit great. I have looked at a few Shires but thought I would stick to Masta as I know they fit. Do Shires fit similar to Masta then?

They are great! Have had my combo rug for 6 years, spent a lot of time on my mare when she was living out! Had it washed and reproofed once (as it needed repairing). It has just started leaking this year :(. Not bad hopefully I can get it reproofed and it will be as good as new :).
