My Gelding has been turned out every day this week so far, and when he goes out a few hours later the torrential rain starts!

He come in soaking wet on Monday as I wasn't expecting rain, so I decided to put his new Rhino M/W Turnout to the test.

Tuesday and Today we have had absolutely torrential rain, fields have even flooded today so they can't go back out for a few days!

Brought him in after being out in non-stop torrential rain all day since around 10am (he was turned out at 7 and bought in at 5).

When I taken his rug off, absolutely bone dry both days! Not even the inside of the rug is damp!
Defiantly one of the best buys I've made in a while, especially the value! It was £70 on sale at my local tack shop (Including the neck cover! :D)
Hats off to Horseware on this one!

Thanks :-) I only buy horseware, they fit my 3 like a glove! Ponies have lived out 24/7 in the worst weather and never had a leak yet!

Very welcome (-:
And I agree! The Rhino M/W only has a 1000D outer and it is a lot better than the PE 1680D rug a purchased not so long ago which leaked in some light rain

You have to take into account what the fabric it is made from, not just the denier.

Rhinos are polypropylene which is better than polyester (used for budget rugs including the Amigo range), but the best material for horse rugs is nylon (used for top quality rugs including the Rambo range).
