My horse has a complete mental breakdown when he goes into the box on his own.
I have worked a lot with this recently, getting him to load (with no tack on) and it takes me about 15 mins if i sit on the ramp and dribble feed up the ramp, he will stand and have a feed whilst in there ok, but if he panics, he rears up and because he is so athletic, he can easily do himself harm
however if i tack him up he will go straight in the box no problem and travel a dream
if a horse is loaded before him, he is hunky dory and never ever a problem
so 2moro he is going to a ODE at tweseldown (hii everyone going im in the PN) and i am planning to tck him up and load him etc and see how it goes
i have extra help coming, and if it goes t|ts up with the loading i will simply take another horse
so fingers crossed everyone!!!

I don't believe a pressure halter should ever be used for anything unless you have schooled / got your horse used to it before hand. using it to try and load a difficult loader is not a good idea and could make matters worse. There is never a quick fix for any problem and time and patience should be used to overcome the issue.
