Some of you will remember i recently lost my lovely dilly stripey knickers cat, after doing everything we could we had to let him go :(

Well my jakey ginger puss, who is my little shadow got an attack of proper stinky breath at the weekend and wasn't really eating much. Teeth I thinks, so popped him up to the vets tonight.

Not teeth, nothing to indicate any mouth problem at all :( and he really isnt himself tonight :(

So bloods taken, antibiotics injection and some sloppy critical care food to tempt him in case his mouth is sore.

Please can I have some vibes for my little ginger man, he means the absolute world to me, he's shared my life for over 16 years now. Here he is cuddling Dilly

On their way to you both, everything crossed he will be back to normal very soon xxx

Thanks My dear, couldn't post on FB incase step kids saw and got all upset! Did the stupid thing of googling his symptoms ...... Very stupid thing to do! He will be coming to bed with mum tonight if he wants to or not xxx

lots of (((vibes))). Poor Jake.

Our lovely bit tom cat Rufus got symptoms along these lines. Didn't turn out so well for him but I really hope it isn't the same for your gorgeous boy.

No worries - you know where I am if you need me. (never google symptoms - ignorance is a much happier state :-) - although i have done that and terrified myself too)

I'm sure Jakey will be much better after sleeping on him Mummy's bed - hopefully he's just eaten something that he shouldn't and will be fine in a few days xxx

Vibes from me and purrs from Mr Jazz. Googling symptoms is a very bad plan but we all do it. I've never once been right. Jazz was a bit like this once and it turned out to be a sore throat. Hope its something simple for Jake too xxx

big hugs and vibes from me and my 2 mogs hope all is well i thought my ginger boy was on his way out last week but he is fine now so fingers crossed (((())))

Kidney failure, and it's big time.

He has gone on a drip for 48 hours, with steroids and a gut protector to see if he responds and see if he has enough kidney function to keep going with (comfortably).

If he doesn't respond, it's time to let him go.

Oh god, I don't know if I can bear it. Know I have to but right now not sure how I will.

At least work were good enough to take one look at my face when I got the call and said just go, get him in. I was in the middle of briefing member of the board for the board meeting tomorrow!

So sorry to hear this. I am crying for you here.

Will hope the current treatment works so you can have a bit more time with your dear friend. Gingers are very special.

Thank you guys, I am having to give lots of loves to poor old zebedee who is feeling very lost tonight and is only happy sat on my chest!

Big hugs!!
My cousins cat had similar and had an opertaion and is now happy as ever a few years down the line so fingers crossed for you little guy.
