Mine absolutely wouldn't move under saddle one day and was nodding his head pff in a stressy way. Thought it was because I changed the pads and he wasn't happy. Went back to our previous set up. Part way around the school he refused to move again. Got off thinking maybe he had actually hurt himself as his MO is to just not move if something rrreeeaaallllyyyyy isn't right. Grabbed lunge. Absolutely fine. Moved out the best I had seen him. Got on....brick wall refusing to move and stressy head nodding. Took saddle and saddle pad off. No shavings or sticks or anything sharp that could be bugging him to the point of refusing to move....until I found it...he had a very, very, very, very tiny cut where the saddle sits. It wasn't even open and it looked like it had healed over somewhat. But it was so so so terrible that he absolutely couldn't move!! I had to wait for it to fully heal before I could ride him 🙄

Mine is really sensitive to sedation. Tbf she's only 13.3hh but the first time we had the vet out to do teeth. Vet only had enough for a foal so said she'd give it and go and get some more and top up.

Pony was swaying and we had to put down 3 bags of shavings, high banks, as we thought she might go down but she couldn't walk to get into the paddock 😆
