big wuss - going to miss him this week

going away for a week and i am going to miss my new horsey so much, he hasnt been that easy but has settled really well the past 10 days and i feel like he is beginning to trust me and now i have to go away - what a baby i am

- feeling like this, ayone else a big wuss over their horses?
 
I went to see my best mate in Milton Keynes for a week last week, I came back on Friday night about 8.30pm, by 9pm I was up the field giving my babies lots of kisses and cuddles! OH was a bit miffed as they had more attention lol!
 
you are not alone. I am going away for four days soon and I'm worried about my boy too. He's a veteran and I worry that he'll get cold if the weather turns wet and windy and the lttle things like his routine carrots when he's turned out and most of all I'll just miss him! I will have somone to look after him of couse but its not the same. I wonder if he'll miss me?
 
Well when I got to the boys, I shouted from the main gate, (they are the 2nd field down) They both called and came galloping up, and they never usually trot up to me lol!
 
I can just see OH rolling his eye balls at this, its not just me then! - whoopeeeee
I have the best ever person looking after him and two friends looking in on him but i will miss cuddling him in the morning most, especially when he is all asleep and dopey and i have to get him up off the grass - so much nicer than grumpy head OH in the mornings
 
Hovis definitely missed me last week - but then my instructor had ridden him and he thinks shes the devil incarnate! He always goes so well for me when she's ridden him - partly because she's such a good rider and aprtly because i think he prefers his mum!!
I missed him loads
 
Got back at the weekend following a week away having missed him loads and worriesd about the weather etc. Even though he was in good hands of my friend twice a day.
Went to see him straight away and he said hello and came cantering over...always nice.
It is hard though and I always get to about Weds of a week away and get home sick and want to go back! Both me and OH miss our animals when away so have decided to do lots of long weekends away from now on!
 
The girls on my yard swore blind Gully used to sulk when I was away and I have been known to phone from the airport to make sure hes ok!! plus have put suitcases thru front door got into my vehicle and driven straight to horse. OH has never allowed me to stop on the way home tho
