billets, never had one fall apart in over 50 years of using them if you clean your tack properly there shouldnt be a problem..
me too!! I hate the bling, raised parts, rolled parts, patent shiny parts, white stitching etc etc,.... i had a hard job finding a bog standard hunter bridle for my ID..... got one from PE in the end and it's lovely but i would have liked it slightly wider...Billets, far tidier and pleasing on the eye. But I am old fashioned and my horses never wear anything but plain hunter bridles, no flash etc.
