Binocular out of Champion Hurdle

I think some bookmakers may be refunding bets on him  I don't bet either but I guess that is the risk one would take with ante post betting, you may get a better price but you risk the horse not turning up on the day. I think Binocular would have been there or thereabouts on Tuesday, I have been liking the look of Menorah all season but the schooling video of him was somewhat lacking in the wow factor so might have to rethink :)

Due to what has gone before Nicky Henderson is playing it by the book .

Sad for punters but you back ante post and its a risk you take.

As for punters being informed why? its the owner that pays the bills and punters dont come into it. Punters are lucky in a lot of trainers ie Paul Nichols keep them informed.

Imo he wouldnt have won any way I still fancy Menorah.

I know, I don't much care about punters but they do seem to expect to be informed about everything immediately these days.

Have a bit of a fancy for OscarWhiskey myself.....I know my bookmaker has been offering money back on non runners for Cheltenham for the past couple of weeks.
Also as a punter, you know that by placing a bet early to get the price you want runs the risk that you lose your stake if it doesn't run. I keep telling myself it's a mug's game!!

That's not strictly true about Paul Nicholls - it took 3 months for him to say that Denman had had a wind op after the Henessey. If they say enough then they can leave other things unsaid without people really noticing, however that is only possible for the big trainers as you need a lot of good horses to make it possible.
When you have good horses, you don't necessarily want to divulge everything. It is between you and the owner and anyone not connected with the horse doesn't have a God given right to know if it blinked at the wrong moment. For punters to say that the BHA should publish a list of what every horse has had is totally rediculous and would be a waste of money which is in short enough supply as it is. The risk of anti post betting is just that - a better price but there is no certainty that the horse will run.
