One has had ligament damage in her back, the other has stained a suspensory, both have had the recommened time off and Im looking at buying a rug and some boots. Just would like to know if anyone has used any of these products and what do you think?!

I have a therapulse rug which is magnetic pulse rug which you can vary the current settings dependent on what your treating, either pain, stimulation or circulation. My boys love it, I know cos they told the horse whisperer!!! they are very pricy but i swear by it. I also use magnetic wraps and boosts for various things.
Best of luck with thier recovery.

Always feel that the magnets are a bit hocus-pocus (though I know lots of people swear by them).

The effect of Infra-red "light" on wound healing was discovered by NASA as apparently wounds don't heal well in space - but they have to be of specific wavelengths. In US there is/was a product called Pain-X Equine that uses these wavelengths in an array of leds (light emitting diodes - like in a tv remote control) - there may be many more products too but I haven't looked for them!

Haven't tried either personally - though have tried & tried to get some infrared leds to put into an led torch! - so can't give a real opinion.

Magnets are relatively cheap but would have more faith in the infra red. Seem to remember that prices of PainX Equine were lower than the product in the link (but it was a few years ago that I looked)

Would love to hear peoples experiences of both technologies.

I swear by Biolight ... have had amazing results on a variety of soft tissue injuries.
I tend to get someone who has the full package to come out, they scan the whole body, locate problem areas (not usually where you expect them!) and then specifically treat these. On one occassion, a horse that had been significantly lame with a shoulder injury for 4 weeks was sound within a few days! 2 treatments 3 weeks apart was all it took!
