Hi all - my horse is on this but I am finding it extremely expensive.

Do any of you know where I can get it at a cheaper price (currently paying £70 per 1 kg), or an alternative that has 1, 800 mg per kg of biotin in it?

How much are you feeding per day?

Biotin is produced by the body (it's a B vitamin, or sometimes called vitamin H), and the body can't process much more than 20mg per day; it's just excreted.

Most high quality foot supplements don't go beyond 30mg per day. There are quite a few high quality foot supplements which will give you that amount. They generally work out to be approx £1 per day.

Progressive Earth also does a good supplement - about £33/kg. They are sold through Ebay. As do Thunderbrooks (who also do a forage assessment service).
