I wonder if anybody has heard of these. My young mare has developed them over parts of her body. Attached photos show before and now. They haven’t cause any problems until now when the one by her mouth becomes a little bit sore quite easily. She’s ridden in s eggbutt snaffle which I feel fits well and she’s lighting in the contact so not sure what will help.

They shouldnt cause issues if they are bird catcher spots, its just a white spotting pattern. I think it looks amazing. Yours might be vilitgo though. They seem to only be on the eyes ad mouth?

Hi she has small dots on her ears and various places. All have hair and haven’t been caused by an injury. It’s just the one on her mouth that seems more prone to becoming pink and sore looking. Although the skin isn’t broken. Maybe I’m just not used to the colour!

They are unusual. I wonder if it’s a genetic thing. Will definitely try some suncream on her mouth just in case.
