Anyone ever used Bisolvon to help a horse with a cold? My mare has developed a cough and has a slight discoloured discharged from one nostril. The yard i am on is also a riding school and has just recently bought a new pony that after a few days developed a cough, the yard owner had the vet and was told that the new pony had developed a slight cold, probably due to the stress of the move. The rest of the school horses showed syptoms, so the yard owner had anti biotic powders from the vet. She told me that the vet had said should the livery horses show signs then he would be willing to supply more powders to the owner, thus saving a vet call out charge. But as the livery horses are kept separate to wait and see if they showed any syptoms. Well, my mare has started with the syptoms i have mentioned. However, i already had a box of Bisolvon powders in from when we had a dog with nasal problems, and i was wondering if i could give them too my mare. it does say on the box that they are for cattle, pigs, etc.
So has anybody ever used them for their horses?
