Bit advice for a youngster.....

I have been using a happy mouth snaffle with my youngster whilst I have been backing, training and bringing him on. I think he is ready for a grown up bit and wondered what you would recommend? Any thoughts?

I would opt for a full cheek french link (the curved JP ones) to start with, it's one of my favourite bits of kit

I love the french links

I love the cyprium full cheek french link

and i believe it only about £25

My lad mouths it well and really accepts the contact,have never had to use anything other than a french link

i've gone from full cheek in rubber --> happy mouth --> sweet iron with copper inlay, as my horse didn't like 'normal' metal. he seems to like this one though...

Full cheek French link, without a doubt. My youngster hates Happy Mouths, but is going remarkably in her Full cheek French Link!
