evenin' all..
i would like a bit of advice on 'bitting' if anyone could be so kind as to help that would be grand.!
anyway, Andy has a rather large tongue (it pokes out the side of his teeth when his mouth is closed.!) he is currently ridden in a NS tranz lozenge type bit but i would like to find one that puts less pressure on his tongue, i saw a myler one that looked good but its not 'dressage legal'.. i am going to phone Heather from NS tomorrow but i thought i would see what advice HHO could offer me as well..
thanks in advance..

Something thin as possible and curved arms, so somethig like the Verbinend or Starter bit, or if has a small mouth in general the Team up mouthpiece. All are shaped to releave tongue pressure. A hanging cheek is sometimes useful aswell as suspends the bit in the mouth slightly more, so stops the tongue pressure as much

myler bits, have this problem with my mare and the comfort snaffle is the best... basically anything with a lozenge that you can put your fingers on the lozenge and cover it, then "bend" the bit without it pinching... I also sometimes use a bradoon bit on her... found both v useful!

deffo the myler comfort snaffle, its dressage legal

Bought a myler comfort snaffle for my horse, then tried it on daughter's pony who also has fat pink tongue sticking out between teeth!

He hated normal snaffles, kept trying to rub his mouth every time you stopped, but happy as larry in myler, even tho it is horse size, because it is shaped the size isn't quite so important (oops, might get shot down for that! promise to go buy him his own one soon...) so too big def better than too small.
