I have a new mare, 16.1 ISH, 16 years old, perky but by no means sharp. Could do with more flexion in her neck. What bit do you think please. She is ridden in a Nue Schule lozenge snaffle at the minute, which she goes well in. I have just bought a new bridle and don't want to keep swapping the bits about. I was going to go for a hanging cheek lozenge, but can't really afford another Nue Schule. 6ins are quite hard to get as well. I am amazed she takes a 6ins as she has quite a TB face:D She pulls up very easily going across country so want to make her a comfy as poss. She hasn't got a thick tongue, but don't like the nutcracker action, which she doesn't need, that some bits have. Sorry, I have started to waffle. It must be cause I'm bored as it is peeing it down here and is set in for the day, so can't ride. Sorry again. I'll shut up now:D

Flexion in neck shouldn't be achieved by a bit, it defeats all laws of equitation. Have you tried some lateral work jjbarney? She needs to work through her back to get the flexion I think you are after or else it will be a false outline.

If she goes well in the current bit, I wouldn't swap it but would work on schooling exercises to encourage flexion. It will take at least months, if not longer, to change the musculature in the neck to allow flexion, so you will need to be patient.
