Hi all,
I'm going to buy a new bit for my 3 (coming 4) year old. I have only backed him and I used my old mares neue schule training lozenge bit which he quite likes but the problem is he is only 13.2hh so the rings are too big for his face and also could do with smaller bit rings as a pony bridle is too small for him but cob is too big in the cheek pieces with this bit on (yes I know I could just change the cheek pieces but he has been bought a beautiful red/brown thing that nothing will ever match! - although that's not the most important thing I know). The main problem is it doesn't look right because he is ikkle but with a big mouth - 5". Should I just get him a small ring jointed snaffle? French link? I like Happy Mouths but do they tend to chew through them? First baby so any help is appreciated thank-you!
