Daughters horse has been coming along nicely now .We have managed to change her from bottom ring of dutch gag to a hanging cheek happy mouth, loose ring.Daughter says she is leaning on bit on one side ,think its left, quite heavily (teeth etc have been checked).
Any ideas what to do to help this or if another bit would help.
Thanks in advance.

I may be wrong so please don't take this as red, but can't you get those bit biscuit, ring things with brushes on one side, that you put next to the skin. As far as I know, you just put this on one side (the side they're leaning) and it helps to stop it??
Hope that makes sense!

Does your daughter have lessons? An instructor may be able to spot the problem. It may be that she is unconciously hanging onto the left rein or not have an even contact on the horse's mouth, causing it to lean. Have a careful look at her position next time she schools as these problems invariably are caused by the rider (no offence intended!).

My boy was leaning on the right - all because my contact wasn't even. Now I'm having lessons with an amazing instructor and he's going like a dream......alot of the time it's rider error! x
