juts wondering if anyone has some suggestions for my horsey.

Quite a sensitive type (tb x) who is normally ridden in a snaffle.

Took him xc yesterday, and he got rather strong, and was very hard to slow him down, ie really leaning back and pulling very hard. This is obviously not the ideal situation.

I was either thinking of trying a snaffle, but a thinner one than he has, or perhaps a happy mouth pelham?

Friend of mine has an ex racehorse who has got very strong out hacking (not turned out yet); we were talking about it the other day and she is going to try a waterford snaffle as apparently they are harder for the horse to get hold of and lean on. In fact I think it was mentioned in H & H either this week or last. May be worth a try ? I'll let you know how she gets on
