Morning guys

Just abit of advice really, i have my mare in a loose ring french link snaffle, thing is when i go out hacking(she's just getting back in to work so quite excited to be going out and about) shes quite strong, just pacing off with me and i can't really check her back, what bit would you suggest trying i don't want to over bit her and i like to be able to use snaffles on my horses but just till i get use to her out and she calms down abit i want to try something new.

Cheers

Try her in a normal jointed fulmer - thats what she was in at ours and went out fine hun

You could try a hanging cheek snaffle - just gives you a bit of pressure on the poll, not as much as a dutch gag though. Or depending on how strong she is you could use a dutch gag (3 ring snaffle) on either of the rings. I find a bit of pressure on the poll works better than a pelham or something because they can't set their neck against you. Good luck!!!

thats what i thought i migth try, shes not tanking or anything just i can't slow her walk down, i no alot of it is excited to be out hacking.
