Hi,

Wondering what you guys would recommend:

- Horse is ridden in a Myler Comfort Snaffle Bit as standard. Hack alone or in small groups with this.
- She gets too strong in this when we're in a group and I'm planning on doing alot of fun rides... She also does the same when jumping.
- She locks onto the bit and leans against me (only in the instance where we're in a group)
- I used to hunt her in a dutch gag on second hole down (the middle one) but she throws her head in the air with it.
- Horse since was found to have sensitivity to the poll so I'm now thinking the gag isn't the right bit for her.

Any advise?

Kineton noseband?

Maybe coupled with a hanging cheek snaffle (reduces poll pressure despite what people used to believe) of the appropriate size to accommodate the Kineton.

I always say it but get a bit specialist out. It will save you money and time in the long run and you will have a horse that is happy in their mouth.

I swapped a leaner into a snaffle with copper rollers for hunting - not a 'stronger' bit, but to encourage softening and discourage holding. This combined with being very careful to ride from the seat rather than giving him something to lean against, did the trick.
