Bit/bridle enquiry

Hi everyone, I currently ride my connemara in a hunter cavesson bridle and the shires sweet iron wonder bit. However, I cannot use this bit for dressage, I recently competed him in a snaffle and we have no brakes! I was thinking using a hanging cheek snaffle with a flash noseband for dressage.. What does everyone else think?

Why not just try the hanging cheek without the flash first? Pointless sticking a flash on if he doesn't need one. You might have enough breaks with just the hanging cheek. Try it, its the only way you can find out

This is true, I don't really want to put a flash on him only if necessary, would you recommend a single or double jointed?
