Bit change...wish me luck!

I've been thinking about trying a different bit for a while, so now the Spooky Pony is the proud owner of a Happy Mouth loose-ring straight-bar snaffle. He's been in a bog-standard eggbutt since I got him, and I'd like to encourage him to take a contact more happily. I just hope I won't lose my brakes as a result...tomorrow is going to be our first go with it.

changing from a metal bit to a happy mouth was the best thing I did with my TB, she always used to lean on my hands until trainer suggested it could well be the other way round! We're both much better now - although we still have to jump in a waterford or hm pelham should the it be required!
