Looking for a straight bar bradoon .... has anyone come across one?

Horse goes very happily xc in a double bridle with a ported Weymouth - have tried him in a standard loose ring single jointed bradoon and more recently with a French link bradoon but I'm not overly keen on how the joint (s) interact with the port.

Thought a straight bar might be the answer. .... any thoughts?

I tried a horse wearing a double with the bradoon a waterford. It went nicely but I had never seen that combination of bits being used before.

If you contact Abbey bits they'll make whatever you want. I had a Mullen mouth loose ring made years ago for a horse, the rings are small enough for it to be used as a bradoon.

What about a Nathe or happy mouth style bit?

What about the Myler mullen barrel bradoons? I have one, although it could be a fake... I know I got it on FB for a much more reasonable price than I have seen any Mylers on their website! Still, it's good quality & wouldn't have as much flex as a normal jointed bit.
