bit for dressage

sorry if fed up with 'bit' posts, but i have dressage in two weeks and i schooled zak and did the test the other day, and he was awful!He kept chucking his head up and down, and then held it up in the air. I dont know if this is the bit or just him being silly, but he doesnt seem to like it. any suggestions?thanks

What bit do you use now, what level dressage are you competing at, and have you eliminated teeth, saddle or back as a potential problem area?

yes teeth back etc fine-he is in a plain eggbutt snaffle single jointed. Only competing at PC level(its the novice championship dressage test 2005)
