Bit help

I've got a young pony, shes gorgeous and lovely and is very easy but has only been broken in a couple of months so green as grass. I originally had her in a single jointed fulmer but she hated the action. Shes now in a straight bar happy mouth but I'm not happy with that. Steering isn't great and she doesn't really go nicely on it.
I'm thinking a french link type fulmer? Thoughts?

and have since broken in a couple using it and really love it. Gives a much nicer feel I think than a french link, my 4 yr old is currently being started in it and seems very settled so far.
