Okay so im new round here so ill start by giving you a little bit of info;
Solo is an IRH mare, 5yrs old, she is very sweet but can be an absoloute pain in the arse at times,

i have had her in a 3 ring gag, full cheek snaffle & now happy mouth loose ring snaffle and she hasnt been overally setteled in any of them;
when it comes to jumping she tanks off and takes me about 2 laps of the school to come back to trot, whereas warming up she is an angel (untill it comes to cnatering because that is very exciting :rolleyes: )
so am hoping for any suggestions you may have ???
she is a 5 & 1/4
ooh and also i dont need an 'elevator' bit as most of the time when schooling she ends up being a giraffe :(

lastly anyone used a fluffy noseband cover - have they worked for you ?

thanks very, hopefully someone out there will have some clever ideas :)

As she is inclined to raise her head I'd be inclined to try her in a Kimblewick or a Pelham with roundings, make sure that you put the chain through the bit rings rather than behind which may cause the bit to pinch.

Both bits will encourage her to drop her head and soften at the jaw making it easier for you to stay in control.

Also lots of work on the flat working on transitions between paces and within paces. Circles, loops & serpentines will help to keep her listening to you.

Thanks, am seriously considering kimbkewick, but i just cant see my skinny tb type horse with araby face in a pelham & i dont ant to ruin her mouth as shes still only a baby :)
Thanks very much :D
