I am in the process of re schooling my TB 8yr ex racer gelding who I've now had for nearly two months. Having been extremely thin on purchase, he is starting to look and feel much better! He has been treated by the dentist and physio and on the advice of my physio have built up lunging in a cavesson to 20 mins and am now starting to lunge in a bridle and have just used the Pessoa for the second time (just for a few minutes as obviously going to be hard work for him). He is also walked out in hand every other day for up to 40mins.
I now need to buy him a suitable bit for progressing with his work and would be grateful of any suggestions. I have been borrowing a KK Sprenger lozenge bit from a friend but he obviously needs his own. Aware that times have moved on so much in bitting world and it's no longer the norm to put them in a snaffle!
My aim is to progress to dressage with him but enjoy a bit of everything else too.
