So set off for Munstead on sunday for the OPN at about 7am, was my 1st event on Dexter and my first event since July tweseldown with Spider (where I didnt even go XC!)

Arrived in plenty of time and without getting lost! And went and walked the course. It was quite small with only a couple of changes from when I did the hunter trial there at the strat of the year on Mac & Spider. Looked at the corner at 5 and decided to take that rather then the alternative this time as he is more experienced.

So went down to dressage and he warmed up great, walked over to the arena and he started jogging and getting a bit tense, test was ok but I rode a bit to quietly and could have asked him for more, which I will do sat.

SJing he warmed up well, jumping nicely and clean. Went in and I was very nervous, having not SJed for a while and it being my worst phase anyway. I shouldnt have worried as he jumped great silly rider hooked a bit too much into 2 fences and he had those two down, which was annoying as he is a really clean jumper.

Anyway on to the XC and he did his usual canter half pass and throwing himself around a bit but was much better getting into the start box then last week

Took us a few fences to get into a good rythym but then he was great, cleared the corner with ease and everything else and came home clear with a couple of time penalties, must let him go a bit more!

So off to SOE on Sat for another OPN so aim to improve on each phase!

Have also entered Borde Hill OPN for after SOE and have entered Spider into the Intro as she is going really well and although for sale I wanted to have another shot with her!

Meanwhile Cruzy is going very well and has an unaff hunter trial at the end of the month! Finding it quite hard keeping three fit and working full time but I do love it!

Well done for getting this far if you did!
