Bit of a dilema... horse must go before work trip! Help!

Oh I didn't mean I didn't like him - he's gorgeous! And I bet there are many people out there looking for a horse just like him, but just not as a stallion. It's just a shame you haven't more time as that obviously limits your market.

I too dont see a wow horse in those pics, yes he's young in them, and I can see potential but you most definatly need better more recient pics, than those to show him off. The pic on horse quest I to would pass over instantly, for either covering or purchase, a still shot is good but if he has fab pases / jump a pic of him being ridden / jumped IMO would be far better

I understand where your coming from re time, but who would spend that money on an unridable horse? esp a stallion ? Yes he's backed, but saying he's turned away at 4 rings alarm bells with me, automatically thinking he was backed and there were problems hence the quick sale.
At his age I'd want to see him ridden, even if you advertised him as just being brought back into work after the snow / winter off, (my sisters stallion was like most stuck in for the best part of a month, so he's not muscled up as he was) Then people wont expect too much, other than a safe ridable horse, with potential

If the horse is good and your groom is good, use her and let go (you have to when he sells anyway) Or pay a trainer to come and ride him 3 times a week (and for viewings), and get the groom to lunge him 2 times a week, to build up some level of fitness and muscle, then you can get better pics, a more purchasable horse, for little money

This might be a really retarded suggestion, and I apologise if it is!!! Also if you heart is really set on selling him this is a useless suggestion.

BUT.

Could you invest some money in teaching your groom how to lunge really successfully? I know he's a youngster (and I have no idea about bringing one on) but if you rode him all the time when you were around, and your OH/groom learnt to lunge successfully, with lots of work f.ex. on his topline, muscle, whatever.....? I know you dont want her riding him, but lunging is marginally less dangerous?

I dont know this is probably really special!

I have room for another colt at the moment. I have three other youngsters which are for sale (being produced on behalf of another owner). PM me if you want any more info. The yard is based near Haverhill :-)

Good luck with whatever you decide he is a stunning chap however in the current climate people who are viewing really want to be able to see the horse at its complete best. If you don't go down the sales livery route what about getting a rider in?
