My OH would be wondering where I was more than anything and whether I had an accident. I think I would call next time if you are over running on your expected time home...to keep the peace a bit.
I have to say that although your day sounds pretty hectic indeed...if I did not work I would expect to do all the cooking, cleaning etc myself if OH was working and bringing in the corn...I quite fancy that to be honest!
