I was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this or heard of this.
My friend had a sharer for her horse who kept readjusting the bridle (the fit was fine so this was irritating in itself). The last straw really was the noseband (plain cavesson) being threaded through the browband on one side as normal, twisted around the headpiece (so the edge of the leather would be digging in behind the ear) and then completely bypassing the other side of the browband and dropping it two holes clear of where it should have been.
The explaination for this was that it "reduces poll pressure". Neither my friend, the yard owner or me have ever seen or heard such nonsense but she was determined that she had been told this on good authority. Have we missed something?
