Hey, just had a thought (and yes it hurt :D:D) does anyone know how i can trace a jockey or trainer from the late 1800's, early 1900's. my grandmother found out that her grandfather and great uncle as well as her dad were jockeys and race horse trainers, harry wheeler, both her grandfather and father were called that and richard wheeler.

richard wheeler had a small training yard in tumbridge wells and trained with both alec taylor snr and jnr.

any thoughts would be very gratefull.

Well it looks like Richard Wheeler was training racehorses in Rottingdean in 1901. It's going to cost you some credits to find out the rest of the household. Here's the link to the results page http://www.1901censusonline.com/results.asp?wci=person_results&searchwci=ei_search_with_locale

Here he is in 1881 with the rest of the household. He doesn't appear to have moved by 1901 either.
