pickle is mainly ridden in a loose ring waterford (stainless steel)

Allthough he is also ridden in a waterford dutch gag
 
Mostly its a myler low port comfort snaffle, so not sure what category that fits into! Although just now its a waterford pelham until I can get back to the myler without being pulled over his head

I have just got a new horse on loan and she came with a loose ring french link. So I have been using that so far. She also came with a Dr Bristol for jumping but I haven't really jumped her so haven't needed to use it.
 
I school in a french link eggbutt , jump(in some sort of control!!) in a french link hanging cheek and XC in a waterford hangimg cheek. I do have a german hackamore to jump in also.
Id like my snaffles to be different material tho, would like a happy mouth hanging cheek and a warmer metal in my eggbutt!
 
well have Jerry in a single jointed loose ring with a sweet iron mouthpiece, tryed him in a double jointed one at first but he didnt like it, but he seems really happy in the single

hector is in a single jointed pelham for most things, and he has a loose ring snaffle with lozange for schooling/dressage
 
I usually ride Shadow in a single jointed happy mouth 2 ring dutch gag, but I'm getting her a double jointed one because she prefers them.
I also use the gag for SJ and XC. I use a french link loose ring stainless steel snaffle with a fairly thin mouthpiece for dressage.

single jointed stainless steel wilkie for schooling/showjumping. french link steel hanging cheek for stressage. still trying to find a bit for xcountry!
 
The bits that i use are-

Myler High Wide Comfort snaffle with hooks
Loose ring and Eggbutt French link/ Waterford snaffles
Straight bar rubber Pelham with 2 reins (hate roundings!)
American Lozenge Gag

I never use single jointed bits at all now after I've seen what they do, but thats just my opinion

I will always try a loose ring lozenge first and find them exeptionally good, whatever metal theyre in.
Also a fan of good old bendy rubber snaffle!
 
I ride all my horses in loose ring french link snaffles or some kind of link whether it be a lozenge. Most of my bits are stainless stell but I do own a few KK's which I adore, and so do the horses.
I hate single jointed mouth pieces.
 
Sprenger KK hanging cheeks with lozenge and made of Aurigan and regular hanging cheeks and a couple of sweetiron linked bits.

I'd never ever use a single jointed snaffle again - actually I haven't used one of those for at least 15 years. I can't bear them!
 
French link loose ring for flatwork and loose ring waterford for jumping/xc etc. Agree with others, dont like single jointed bits.
 
Mouthpiece = myler low ported comfort - put other
Rings/cheeks = kimblewick
Material = stainless steel with copper insets - put other.
 
The little ponies have single jointed eggbuts, P has a mullen mouth butterfly, as does G but G also has a mullen mouth kimblewick.
