Well. . .i have got a horse trial booked for late August.
At the moment he will do a half descent flatwork session in a gag with the reins attaced to the big ring with not much poll pressure so was like a hanging cheek. It has a snaffle mouth piece.
I tried to put him in a snaffle tonight and
he was soooo strong. I have a feeling it might just be because he hasnt been riden in it for a while but im a bit worried. I have got quite a while i suppose untill the actual horse trial so i can keep working him in it but i get so frustrated with him when he just tanks of etc.
I have read up about bits which i am allowed to use and it to me seems like it is snaffle or some types of mylers. I have a bit very similar to the Myler hanging cheek, which he goes very well in but it is not a MYLER one so im not sure if i could use it or not.
Any help on bit types, dressage, etc would be sooo greatful as im feeling a bit stuck
Thanks
And by te way you might have guessed but im a bit new to the whole side of competing dressage.
