If a breeding bitch hasn’t been in season for 18 months what does this mean? Is it cause for concern?

Some females can have such a thing as a silent season, but if you have a rough idea of their dates you could still do the progesterone blood test for the optimum fertility date. Most breeders I know do this as a matter of course now, saves a lot of guessing and expense.
If not that, then there may be a health/fertility issue or the female is under stress.

That’s exactly what I am beginning to think myself.For me if reproduction is not straightforward and it is not all working as it should it's a very good reason not to breed from that animal- nature would be telling me something.
