Bitch's first season

My eight month old rough collie bitch is going through her first season. She is peeing all over the place. It doesn't matter how many times she is taken out, she still does it in the house and the smell!!! Is this natural for a bitch and how long will the peeing last? I put down training pads for her to use but she shook them to bits.

I know the season will last about 3 weeks so hopefully we only have about 1 week to go.

Hope someone can give me some advice.

That is NOT normal, I would take her to the vets, sounds more like she has a urinary infection. Are you sure she is inseason and the blood isn't in her wee?

Some breeds do suffer frequent urine infections whilst in season I too would get her checked by your vet asap....it does sound like she has a urine infection.

Thanks. Over the last couple of days, she seems to have 'dried up'. I'll keep an eye on her and will also speak to vet.
