I am not too sure my horse is in the correct bit. He is in a dutch gag, 2nd ring up, not bottom. He can be like a donkey to ride when walking but as soon as his field friend goes for a canter he is itching to go. I can hold him back (only just) however once I give him the nod to go he is like a tank! I need something that will give me breaks when needed but like I say he just plods along any other time & not strong. I am well confused by the amount of bits on the market. We have lessons & he gets schooled & lunged. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
