Biting headcollar?

Hey all,

I have just got my horse back from full loan (2 weeks ago) he was gone for roughly 8 months. He has picked up a few bad habits, the main one is when I go to put his head collar on he starts to try and bite it?
It isn't directed at me and once it's on he leads like normal, taking it off isn't an issue. He didn't do this before he was out on full loan.
Any ideas what could have prompted him to start doing it? And any ideas to get him out of this habit?

Some quick clicker training to re-introduce him to polite haltering will definitely help.

Possibly he has been given a treat when the head collar was put on. I would just ignore for now and see if he stops once he realises no more treats!
