Bits - advice please

I currently ride my horse in a happy mouth loose ring french link with a roller in the centre.

He is not at all strong but can tend to lean a little and he can sometimes be quite fussy in his mouth.

My instructor said maybe I should try him in some different bits...

Can anyone recommend any "dressage legal" bits that might suit him?

I never realised bits could be so expensive!!!

It's has been a long time since I last looked at any!

Have a look at the Neue Schule website - it has loads of bits on there, is really interesting, and you can call them to discuss problems, and they can recommend the best bit to try. Their website is www.neueschulebits.com. Definately worth a try.

My mare used to go in the same happy mouth as yours - and my instructor suggested the same thing to me! The mare is now in a D ring copper roller and she loves it! Wouldn't go XC in it though... I am yet to find a suitable bit for brakes! lol
