I have a NS Weymouth and a ND bradoon, but they do not site right in her mouth together... I am thinking of getting just a regular bradoon and putting this with the weymouth.

Does anyone have any bit combinations that they use which might be helpful?

We had to play about a bit to get a double that Gen accepted. He has scar tissue on his tongue (thanks to the idiot YO) and so he is very sensitive.

He was already being worked in the NS verbindend snaffle and Heather at NS suggested the Mors Lotte with the short shanks. It still took a little while for him to settle but now he is much better and happier.

I was so surprised at the different bits you can get now - felt a bit like a minefield.

Can you try using your 'regular' snaffle as the bradoon and then playing about with the weymouth?

I use the NS verbinded bradoon (as that's my regular snaffle bit) and the Sprenger cut back ported weymouth with short shanks. The Sprenger weymouth fits the horses' palate and tongue really well; seems a very good combination for a horse with a fat tongue and relatively high palate. I spoke to my EDT about his mouth conformation and had a variety of weymouth's lined up to try. Luckily the horse liked the one I already had the best!
