i am at a show next week and have been riding my horse in a rubber jointed pelham. can you ride in a pelham whilst doing the ridden classes. the show is only a local show.

yeah i always show my connie in a pelham, the only class i don't think you can use one in is the novice ridden

Your pelham will be fine. The only thing I would check is that if there is a riding club horse class, and you are thinking of doing it, some shows state that in that particular class, snaffles only.

You will be fine in a pelham, I use one for showing, but do check that this is a class that states only snaffles - if you need brakes, use a wilkie snaffle and do the noseband up fairly tight.

I use a hanging cheek snaffle for novice classes as Stinky likes this bit and I get a bit of poll pressure to help me get him to come down and round.
