We use a neue schule hanging cheek for schooling

I use a loose ring lozenge on Maiden (was going to buy her a Neue Schule Tranz Link for this Christmas but I can't ride her!). As far as I can see the NS and Sprenger KK bits are the same apart from the metal used, I would have got Maiden a KK if I was feeling very generous (and rich!) but the NS is so similar it seemed silly!
Cookie wears a hollow mouth loose ring single joint snaffle for everything (dressage, SJ, XC, hacking etc.).
Cracks wears a loose ring French link snaffle for hacking and schooling unless she gets strong, when she has a choice of a D-ring single jointed copper roller, or a French link three-ring Dutch gag.

Myler comfort snaffle with cheeks for dressage and myler low ported kimblewick for jumping. Have also used a variety of sprenger bits in the past and find them great bits but my current mare goes best in mylers.

i use a full-cheek single-joint snaffle, with a drop noseband, on every horse for flatwork. my classically-trained dressage trainer has convinced me that this is THE correct combination, and that everything else is up to me! saves lots of "horse isn't going right cos i haven't found the magic key to its mouth" agonising, that's for sure.

I use Neue Schule on both of mine - mainly because i called up Heather from NS and chatted to her on the phone for a good 30 min about my horses and what would suit them, she was lovely and really helpful, she gave me the no of a plce that did NS bit hire for £5 for 4 weeks and i 'borrowed' the bits she suggested, made sure my horse liked them and I am just awaiting the bit i want in the right size coming back to me to keep.

Both my horses will end up in the NS filet baucher lozenge snaffle - it has worked on every horse I have tried it on!

i rotate a happy mouth full cheek,
french link &
double bridle (for schooling)

for hacking and jumping it varies between a happymouth bubble gag and an american gag.

loose ring fillis snaffle - at least this is what I think it is called.

never seen one before, it came out of a mate's bit bag that she was selling. Basically a snaffle with a central port but the joints are very unusual as well - they consist of two pieces of metal on one side and a metal disc that sits between them on the other so they rotate back and forth but not up and down. Pony LOVES it.

I use a Myler high wide comfort snaffle with hooks and a Neue Schule Verbindend 12mm snaffle. Both are fab and stp the horses leaning or getting too strong. I also like using a loose ring Waterford from time to time.

Just stopped using 1 of those as we have been able to advance to a french link. Myler short shank combination for jumping/XC as we need brakes...

Myler comfort snaffle with cheeks and hooks and a copper roller at the moment for schooling, hacking and jumping at home. Not dressage legal so just ordered a Myler comfort hanging cheek snaffle for dressage at competitions.
For XC she goes in a single-link cheltenham gag with 2 reins, although thinking of changing to a Nelson gag for extra steerage!
