bits???

decided to put this in here rather than the lounge as you guys probably know more.
im looking for a company that hires mikmar bits as they are so expensive i want to see if they work first?
does anyone know of anywhere that does this?
or any other bits that would suit a strong horse with not too much poll action as it just makes him even more upright?

Do shop 4 bits do Mikmar?

You can try all their bits for a small amount of money, send them back if you don't want them.

is it worth trying a myler combination bit, for e.g. the one with 3 round barrels that goes solid if you pull? i know they look a bit fearsome, but they work on a few different areas at once, so there's less for a horse to object to, i think.

thats the one i want to try, but he is so fussy i didnt want to splash out without trying it.

I have a long shank Myler combi you can borrow to try if you want - 5.5inch mouth and it is a standard comfort snaffle mouthpiece.

i've got the 3-barrel myler in a snaffle (with hooks iirc) which i found on ebay, and a short shank combi with comfort barrel, you're welcome to try them both, i'm not jumping my mare for a few weeks anyway.
