Can anyone offer some advice regarding Bits. My 16.3 IDxTB pulls like an express train and leans on the bit. However, on occasion, she will get behind the bit and avoid it. She seems to know all the tricks on how to unseat me so that she can take a hold and pull. I have tried varioius snaffles, french link, Dr Bristol etc. and also Chelt Gag, 4 ring gag but none seem to work. Any advice?
 
I haven't tried either actually. Any idea what bit I should try them with? She's as strong as an Ox when she wants to be yet soft in the mouth when schooling etc. She took off with me today, only in trot but I could not stop her at all!!
 
I would suggest something with two riens, you know your horse best. Then you can use the lighter rein when shes light but have the harsher one as back up when needed

Some more experianced people may be able to help a little more
 
I was going to say a Myler. I have a combination if you want to borrow it, i'm not using it at the moment BUT my horse was a different pony when I put him in a Myler snaffle. Seriously, I changed him back the other day to a bog standard snaffle, never again. He really does go like a different horse in a Myler which I can only put down to being better in the shape of the tongue etc.
 
I LOVE myler bits! i would totally recomend the myler combination, good way to have a little bit more control without the severity of a waterford! they are expensive but well worth the investment!

Also try the softening work you so in the school as you hack out... i even do it on the road as soon as i leave the yard, as soon as my horse pulled, stop, back up, halt, walk on, had him going like a dream, very light! try it! you never know. ;o)
