i've just been and bought a sweet iron bit but the saddlery didn't have a snaffle in like the one i had so they have given me a bradoon jointed in the middle. is this any harsher than a jointed snaffle?

Surely it is the same, just the bradoon rings are smaller than 'normal' bit rings.

it has a bit more of a bend on the mouth piece. i just wanted to make sure it isn't any harsher than a snaffle as my horse isnt strong and i don't want to make him uncomfortable

If the mouth piece is more curved, it would make it more comfortable in the horses mouth.
