my tb is currently in a loose ring french link snaffle but she does not respect it at all. she has always been quite strong in the mouth... well i dont think strong is the right word... but anyway... my YO suggested trying a different bit. im not necessarily after a stronger bit, just something that she cant grab onto and will be happier in.

any that you think may be suitable for her?

Try a Neue Schule bit, most horses seem to go well in them. If you do buy one, go up one size as they come up a bit small. I ride in a loose ring lozenge snaffle and hunt in a Tranz Universal. my horse can lean and pull me but doesn't in the Tranz.

Ive found a cherry roller works well for those that need abit more than a snaffle but not necessarily a very strong bit. My boy has no repect for a snaffle as has always been ridden in a dutch gag (however he is strong in that :/). He goes well in the cherry roller because he can not grap a hold of it, yet he is happy in this as he just mouths the rollers and plays with it (in a good way) producing the wonderful foam
