hi
would anyone be able to recommend a bit for me my horse is at the moment ridden in a loose ring french link snaffle which is fine for flat work showjumping ect he goes really well in it
but out hacking x country schooling its a different matter hes a thug he just pulles and leans he pulls me to the point of pulling me forward out of the saddle which isnt a good feeling
hes had teeth, back, saddle all done recentley dont think hes doing it because hes in pain just think he's loving his job and gets a bit keen
i have tried him in a copper roller this made his mouth sore also a myler comfort snaffle with hooks also didnt go well in this
he drops below the bit and pulls downwards so anything that brings his head down would be no good any comments :):) would be appricated
:D
thankyou

Cheltenham gag ? Works for my thug ! Ride on gag ring a few times then if want to can ride on snaffle with gag ring rein knotted over kneck in case need it, but..... Don't try using both reins at once if pick up gag drop snaffle.

Try a running gag as above - I often use Nelson gags (full cheek running gags) to get the extra steering

However I have got a battleaxe who cannot even be stopped in a waterford Nelson and she is ridden in a universal reversible military pelham now!
