Our 5yr old traditional has just started jumping and seems to really enjoy it the problem is when the atmosphere is slightly more 'charged' he likes to either run out at the last second or completely tanks off after landing, fine in lesson or quieter atmosphere, although still strong, instructor has advised changing his bit for jumping, but i am worried about making him hard mouthed, he is currently ridden in an eggbutt snaffle, i was thinking about trying him in a fulmer snaffle with a copper lozenge first to give him more'feeling'to the bit? to gain more control? any ideas advice welcome
