Hello everyone, I'm looking for advice on possibly changing the bit for my horse.
She's currently in a D-ring copper roller bit, and she goes okay in it but we have a few problems. She can be very strong (and naughty) when excited, and when she's not excited she tends to lean on the bit anyway. Occasionally she will snatch the bit too. She has been seen by the vet and will be seen by the dentist soon, but I'm fairly sure she's trying to tell me that she's unhappy with her bit.
I don't really want anything too strong as although she can be strong when excited, she is fairly softly mouthed. I'm not sure a bit with poll pressure is the best idea either as she's been known to rear when throwing a tantrum (typical TB!)
Sorry for the long post, I hope someone can offer some advice.

Phone Heather at Neue Schule (google them!) She is an expert in the bitting of horses and will give you the right advice.
