I hunt my cob once a week. He is very fit and strong, but not in a running away kind of way, he just takes hold. He is no different into a fence and I never feel as if he's legging it. He's in a Cheltenham, but he has a really fleshy mouth and it's rubbing him, but kind of round the corner up inside his gob. I am thinking the bit is either to narrow and he needs a wider one, (what do you all think?) but I am also thinking I would like to change his bit. He's a dollopy cob when not hunting, just wondered if anyone had any advice?!!

my pony gets stong, however hates sever bits....and has a realy sensitive mounth which becomes cut v easily,,,,
how about the DUTCH GAG/CONTINENTAL whatever you want to call it FROM THE FUNNEL RANGE. IT USES RUBBER INSTEAD OF MENTAL SO ITS SOFT AND IT CONTAINS A PEANUT IN THE MIDDLE, TO KEEP THEM OCCUPIED. and best of all you can change the stengths, and my pony hasnt got used to it like every other bit she uses:).
